“Fresh Expressions” Brand Motif

“Fresh Expressions” is a proprietary illustration style I developed for NutriGold in 2016. It depicts lush fruits, vegetables, botanicals, and organic textures in a unique style that’s a cross between oil painting and playfully imperfect watercolor. Designed to communicate health, energy, and vitality, this look became the cornerstone of our visual branding across packaging, digital, and print.

Each product received both a “Splash” and a “Border” design element, with the “Border” element appearing along the bottom of the product’s primary packaging. Shown here are “Splash” elements, used to invite flavor into white space or accentuate product photos in marketing materials.

The art style appears hand-painted, but it’s actually a clever combination of smart filters in Adobe Photoshop. This meant the graphics were editable and the process repeatable for efficiency. To create artwork for a new product, you simply needed to buy some stock photos, isolate them, and drop them into my template.
