Örlö, a maker of algae-based omega-3 supplements, needed product visuals as striking and unique as their innovative approach to nutrition. Their packaging — a combination of reflective metallic foil pouches and distinctive Miron® violetglass bottles, both direct-printed — presented a fascinating challenge. Capturing the subtle interplay of light on the metallic foil, and the crispness of the white ink on the tinted glass, required great care.
This project was a perfect opportunity to synthesize skills honed at two very different companies. At NutriGold, I first dove into the world of 3D models and rendering using 3DSMax® and VRay®. Later, at Fortem Technologies, I embraced open-source tools like Blender and Radeon Pro Render, shedding the constraints of corporate licenses and gaining the freedom to independently master the craft.
The final renderings for Örlö speak for themselves. They capture every detail from the gleam of the foil to the texture of the ink on the tinted glass.
